Q1. How do I subscribe to Oakdell Ranch email notifications?

A1. If you have given your email address to the Homeowners' Association for the Directory you have already been added to email notifications. We are using the Oakdell Ranch Yahoo Groups service to manage emails and other services including polls, community discussions and our online directory. If you are not a member and are a resident of Oakdell Ranch please sign up using the red box below.

Q2. Is there an Annual dues? If so how much and what is the money used for?

A2. Annual fees are $10 payable to Robin Seaman. Checks should be made out to "Oakdell Ranch Homeowners' Association" or "Oakdell Ranch HOA".

The treasury has a little over $2K. It has covered the cost of newsletters and directories as well as neighborhood events: Halloween Parade, Disaster/Earthquake preparation supplies, annual picnic, bereavement flowers, etc.

Special thanks to Jack Hislop's printing company. T&J Graphics Inc. subsidized this year's Directory printing cost and Carolyn Miller has graciously covered the cost of reproducing the newsletters.

A3. For the residences of Clearwood, Clearcreek, Oakleaf, Oakdell, Oaknoll, Creekside, Florence, Pharlap and part of Woodbury. Dedicated to building a strong community for our families.

Q7. What's going on with school zoning? Why are we being rezoned?

A7. Kennedy a middle school (grade 6 to 9) is over crowded. The capacity is 1,300 and they presently have 1,700. The plan is to turn Collins Middle School into an over flow school. The boundaries to determine which kids go where is being decided by the school district.

Some talk indicates that all of Oakdell Ranch is going to Collins Middle School. Monta Vista would remain our High School.
